City Council
City Council is an Indie Hip-Rock Duo supported by a live band (Guitar, Bass, Drums) that puts on a high energy show that peaks ears and draws in any listener with at least a minimal appreciation for artistic ability and creative showmanship. City Council’s sound is in it’s own category: most often being defined as a melding of Hip-Hop, Rock, Funk and Jazz. The City Council sound utilizes a distinct cross-over concept from creation to performance that is unique to City Council and City Council alone. Their music has gained popular notoriety across Middle-Georgia.
Their originality has set them apart from the rest of the Hip-Hop Genre and allowed them to team up with bands from every Genre, such as Nomenclature, T-Bird & The Breaks, Oh Dorian, Fish Hawk and Gym Glass Heroes. City Council has likewise received praise, in-depth positive treatment and honorable mention in publications of all types, including Food and Culture Magazine, the 11th Hour, The Macon Telegraph, Auburn Plainsman and Creative Loafing. With Jubee providing deep, emotion-filled lyrical creations and Perry Valentyne singing Melodic Choruses and rhyming multi-leveled flows, City Council is on the rise to the top of their own Genre.
